What is Eva Sole Material?
- Jun 14, 2018 -

Eva shoe sole material is a kind of insole made from EVA, which is widely used in the shoe-making industry and the insole market.EVA insole is usually made of Eva foam material as the main material of insole, which is combined with cloth, leather and other materials.

 Material specification

Eva foam insoles is Ethylene/Vinyl Acetate ester copolymer (Vinyl Acetate), Ethylene (E) and it is made of Vinyl Acetate (VA) made by copolymerization, English name is: Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, referred to as EVA, or E/VAC.Generally, the content of vinyl acetate (VA) is between 5% and 40%.Compared with polyethylene, EVA reduces crystallinity by introducing vinyl acetate monomer into the molecular chain, and improves flexibility, impact resistance, packing solubility and thermal seal performance.Generally speaking, the performance of EVA resin depends on the content of vinyl acetate on the molecular chain. The higher the content of VA content is, the higher the transparency, softness and toughness of VA content will be.

 Process of Eva raw material

The usual EVA insole is formed by cold pressing. The main production steps are as follows

1. Cut and cut the EVA material that fits the fabric to fit the size of the insole mold

2: will cut good EVA material, put to about 150-190 ℃ baking in the oven, until the EVA material soft, maturation.

3. Put the softened EVA material into the mold of the machine for molding.Molding is usually hollow, with cooling water to control the mold temperature between 15-20 ℃.

4: EVA materials shrink and pressurize in the mold, causing the shape of EVA materials to change and form the shape of the insole.

5. Trim or cut the pressed EVA insole. They make insoles.
