A method of making a supporting function insole and its purpose?

This is a functional insole used in race walking events, specifically a supporting functional insole and its purpose.

Race walking, especially the 5 km and 10 km events, has become more and more popular in recent years and is rapidly becoming a popular leisure and fitness sport. The reason for this popular trend may be due to people’s belief that race walking is a sport that can provide adequate fitness effects and has very little harm to the human body. However, researchers believe that race walking is a sport with a high injury rate. Francis and others conducted a questionnaire involving 682 race walking athletes and found that nearly 3/2 of race walking athletes had suffered one or more injuries during their careers. 90% of race walkers have pain during the race, and the remaining 10% feel pain throughout the race. A study conducted statistics on 31 race walkers and found that blisters at the heel and metatarsal heads, Achilles tendon injury and pain in the middle of the knee joint are common occurrences of race walkers. Race walking is an endurance sport, which requires athletes to walk 20 to 50 kilometers. The 50-kilometer race walking event is the longest track and field event, about 7.8 kilometers longer than the marathon. A 67 kg person walks 50 kilometers independently and has to bear 2016 tons of weight on each foot. Therefore, race walkers are very likely to cause damage to the end of the lower extremities such as blisters, plantar pain, stress fractures and knee joint pain. During race walking, athletes have to repeatedly step on the ground vigorously on the soles of their feet for 1 to 4 hours. During this time, the metatarsal heads and heels are subject to high pressure and pressure, which is prone to overuse injuries. Repeated foot pedaling can cause stress fractures of the foot metatarsal heads, especially the second and third metatarsal heads. The increase in heel pressure when stepping on the ground during race walking can cause strains of the tibial anterior muscles. It may cause common lower limb injuries in some parts. The peak ground reaction force during race walking is greater than the peak ground reaction force during normal walking, which is likely to cause sprains of the musculoskeletal structure in the middle of the tibia; when the musculoskeletal system is overloaded, overuse Sexual injury will happen.

Functional insoles are now widely used in the treatment of diabetes. Corrective insoles and decompression shoes can reduce the pressure on the soles of the feet of diabetic patients. Similarly, the high probability of overuse injuries of race walking athletes is also related to plantar pressure. The invention uses a supporting function insole to reduce the pressure on the sole of the foot when stepping on the ground during race walking. This insole increases the height of the arch position and strengthens the cushioning of the heel position. The pressure of the heel and metatarsal head is transferred to the arch of the foot to reduce the peak pressure of the heel and metatarsal head and the ground reaction force, thereby reducing the risk of overuse injury of the heel and metatarsal head. In addition, the present invention determines the decompression effect of the functional insole by measuring the distribution of plantar pressure during race walking.
